Fatal Shooting on Otis Place, NW

On Friday, October 22, 1999 at approximately 5:25 pm, Fourth District units responded to the 1300 block of Otis Place, NW for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, units found an unidentified male suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the head. DCFD medics were called to the scene to render medical assistance.

The victim who has been identified as 18-year-old David L. Marshall of the 2300 block of Cromwell Terrace, NE, was transported to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit where he was pronounced dead at 7:00 pm.

This case is currently under investigation by detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call Fourth District detectives at 202-576-6726 or the D.C. Crime Solvers Unit at 1-800-673-2777.
