Suspect Sought for Armed Robbery

The department is seeking the public’s assistance to help identify and locate two suspects being sought in connection with an armed robbery. At approximately 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 12, 1999, two men entered the Marvin Center of the George Washington University located at 800 21st Street, NW. Once inside they went to the Aramark Food Services Cash Office on the second floor. One of the subjects then produced a handgun and forced an employee to remove cash from the safe. The two suspects then fled with an undetermined amount of cash.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his thirties, 5’8" to 6’0" tall, 150 pounds with a slim build, medium to dark complexion, black hair with yellowish tinted eyes. He was wearing a red fleece shirt, dark colored jacket and blue jeans. The second suspect is described as a black male in his thirties, 5’8" to 6’0" tall, 140 to 150 pounds with a slim build with a medium to dark complexion. He was wearing a blue skullcap, blue jean shirt and a blue jacket. He was armed with a gray handgun.

Anyone with information about the identities or location of these subjects should take no direct action but call the department’s Second District detectives at 202-282-0043 or the Crime Solvers Unit at 1-800-673-2777.

All calls to Crime Solvers are confidential. If a caller provides information to Crime Solvers which leads to an arrest and indictment in this case, he/she will be eligible for a reward of up to ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS.
