The Metropolitan
Police Department is seeking the publics assistance in locating
a suspect wanted for the July 31, 1998
murders of Twain Terrick Edwards and Mario Barnett. Edwards and
Barnett were found shot to death in their residence, apartment number
507 of 933 N Street, NW, at about 2:30 p.m.
Detectives have obtained a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant charging
Cornelius MacDonald Smith (pictured here) with First Degree
Felony Murder While Armed. Smith is described as a 21-year-old dark
complexioned black male, 510" tall, weighing 220 pounds,
with brown eyes and black hair. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who has
information regarding the whereabouts of Cornelius MacDonald Smith should
take no direct action, but call the Third
