At approximately 9:35 last night, Monday, June 19, 2000, 25-year-old Nakia Antonio Roy, of the 3300 block of Curtis Drive in Hillcrest Heights, Maryland, accompanied by his attorney, surrendered himself at the Seventh District located at 2455 Alabama Avenue, SE. Mr. Roy was being sought on an arrest warrant charging Murder One While Armed in connection with the June 12, 2000 shooting death of 77-year old Grace Edwards.

He is expected to be arraigned today in D.C. Superior Court.
