At approximately 7:29 a.m., on Wednesday, June 21, 2000, Fifth District units responded to the rear alley of the 1700 block of L Street, N.E., for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, units located an unidentified male suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the head. DCFD medics were called to the scene to render medical assistance and found no signs of life.

The victim, identified as 33-year-old Christopher Steve Brown of the 8600 block of Fort Foote Road, Ft. Washington, Maryland, was transported to the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office where he was officially pronounced dead at 10:55 a.m.

The Metropolitan Police Department is presently offering a TEN THOUSAND-DOLLAR REWARD to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
