HOMICIDE 800 BLOCK OF RITTENHOUSE STREET, N.W.
(UPDATE: JUNE 22, 2005 ARREST MADE)
At approximately 5:20 last night, Thursday, October 28, 2004, an officer on routine patrol located 23-year-old Imtiaz Mohammed, of the 700 block of Somerset Place, N.W., seated in the front seat of a 2004 Dodge Straus parked in front of 804 Rittenhouse Street, N.W., suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the Washington Hospital Center's MedStar Unit and pronounced dead at 5:42 p.m.
The case is under investigation by members of the department's Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 202/727-9099.
The department offers a reward of up to TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

UPDATE: THE ABOVE CASE WAS CLOSED ON JUNE 21, 2005, WITH THE ARREST OF 26-YEAR-OLD RAYMOND MCCOY, OF THE 7600 BLOCK OF STARTFIELD LANE IN LAUREL, MARYLAND. HE HAS ALSO BEEN CHARGED IN THE MURDER OF KENZELL DURHAM THAT OCCURRED ON JUNE 16, 2005. IN BOTH OF THESE CASES MR. MCCOY HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH MURDER ONE WHILE ARMED.
