Homicide in the 3000 Block of Naylor Road, SE

At approximately 3:30 am on Saturday, August 27, 2005, police were called to the 3000 block of Naylor Road, SE, for the report of a man down. Upon arrival they located the body of a 24-year-old man suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body. DC Fire Department emergency medical personnel were called to the scene but found no signs consistent with life. He was taken to the Office of the DC Medical Examiner and pronounced dead. His name is being withheld pending the notification of his next of kin.

 

The case is under investigation by members of the department's Violent Crimes Branch.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

 

The department currently offers a reward of up to 25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
