Fatal Shooting on K Street, NE

At approximately 6:10 am on Sunday, September 25, 2005, police were called to the 1600 block of K Street, NE, to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival they discovered an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim who has been identified as 40-year-old Gregory Ragland of the 1000 block of 17th Place, NE, was transported to the DC Medical Examiner's Office where he was pronounced dead.

 

This case remains under investigation by members from the department's Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact police at (202) 727-9099.

 

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
