Homicide in Front of 2101 4th Street, NW - UPDATE: Suspect Arrested

At approximately 6:45 pm, on Sunday, September 25, 2005, police were called to the front of 2101 4th Street, NW, for the report of a man down.  Upon arrival they located a 49-year-old black male suffering from apparent multiple stab wounds to the body.  He was taken to the Howard University Hospital and pronounced dead.

 

The victim's name is being withheld at this time pending the notification of his next of kin.

 

The case is under investigation by members of the department's Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

 

The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
