Homicide in the 1300 Block of Quincy Street, NW

At approximately 7:23 pm, on Tuesday, September 27, 2005, Metropolitan Police were called to the 1300 block of Quincy Street, NW, for the report of a man down in the block. Upon arrival, police located a 39-year-old Maryland man suffering from apparent multiple stab wounds to the body. He was transported to the Washington Hospital Center's MedStar Unit and was pronounced dead.

 

The name of the decedent is being withheld at this time pending notification of his next-of-kin.

 

The case is under investigation by members of the department's Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

The department offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
