Homicide in the 1800 Block of Central Place, NE

On Thursday, September 29, 2005, at approximately 1:58 am, police were called to the 1800 block of Central Place, NE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival police located a 44-year-old District male suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was transported to the Washington Hospital Center's MedStar Unit and pronounced dead.

 

The name of the decedent is being withheld at this time pending notification of his next-of-kin.

 

The case is under investigation by members of the department's Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

 

The department offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
