Shortly before 9:00 p.m., on Sunday, July 30, 2000, officers of the Seventh District and DCFD medics responded to the 4200 block of 4th Street, SE, for the report of a man down. Upon arrival, officers located 23-year-old Anthony Darnell Green of the 1100 block of Trenton Place, S.E., suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the head and left thigh.

The victim was transported to D.C. General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:29 pm.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a TEN THOUSAND-DOLLAR REWARD to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
