Homicide On Hamilton Street, NW

At approximately 12:26 a.m. early this morning, Fourth District officers and DCFD medics responded to the 700 block of Hamilton Street, NW for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival units located an unidentified male suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. They also discovered another victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the buttocks.

The first victim, identified as 17-year-old Lawrence Morrow of the 1500 block of Buchanan Street, N.W., was transported to the Washington Hospital Center's MedStar Unit where he was pronounced dead. The second victim, whose identity is being withheld at this time because she is a potential witness in this case, was transported to a local area hospital where she was treated and released.

This case is currently under investigation by detectives of the Fourth District. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 202-576-6726 or the D.C. Crime Solvers Unit at 1-800-673-2777.

The Metropolitan Police Department is presently offering a TEN THOUSAND-DOLLAR REWARD to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for any homicide in the District of Columbia.
