Double Homicide Shooting on Galen Street, SE

Sometime after 6:00 this morning, a police officer on routine patrol in the area was flagged down by a citizen and advised that two shooting victims were in the 1700 block of Galen Street, SE. Upon responding to investigate, the officer located two males suffering from multiple gunshot wounds seated inside of an auto parked in front of 1739 Galen Street.

The victims, who have not yet been positively identified, were later transported to the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office where they were officially pronounced dead.

The case is currently under investigation by detectives of the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Division.
