On Friday, August 25, 2000, at approximately 12:19 a.m., police and DCFD emergency medical technicians responded to the 4900 block of Alabama Avenue, SE for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds lying in the rear of 4406 Falls Terrace, SE.

The victim, who has been identified as 27-year-old Theottis G. Mack, of the 300 block of Ridge Road, SE, was transported to D.C. General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:03 a.m. The remains were then taken to the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a TEN THOUSAND-DOLLAR REWARD to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
