Man Found Slain on Madison Street, NW

At approximately 7:50 am on Friday, January 22, 1999, a citizen walking in the 1400 block of Madison Street, NW came upon a box in the street at that location that appeared to have a body inside of it. Officers from the Fourth District subsequently responded and upon their arrival the body of an adult male subject was found inside of the box. The victim who was suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds was transported to the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office where he was pronounced dead at 11:06 am.

The victim in this case currently remains unidentified.

This case is currently under investigation by detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch.
