On Saturday, January 23,
1999, at approximately 3:23 p.m., Metropolitan Police were summoned
by DCFD personnel to 200 G Street, S.W. for the unconscious assault
victim. Upon arrival, they discovered a male suffering from blunt force
trauma to the head.
The victim, who has been
identified as 48-year-old James Peterson, of the G Street address,
was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:24 p.m. by a doctor on the staff
of the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office.
The case is currently under
investigation by members of the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide
