Homicide on G Street, SW

On Saturday, January 23, 1999, at approximately 3:23 p.m., Metropolitan Police were summoned by DCFD personnel to 200 G Street, S.W. for the unconscious assault victim. Upon arrival, they discovered a male suffering from blunt force trauma to the head.

The victim, who has been identified as 48-year-old James Peterson, of the G Street address, was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:24 p.m. by a doctor on the staff of the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office.

The case is currently under investigation by members of the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Division. Anyone with information pertaining to this case is asked to call the department's homicide division at (202) 727-4347 or the D.C. Crime Solvers at 1-800-673-2777.
