On Saturday, January 23,
1999, at approximately 11:00 pm, Metropolitan Police and DCFD emergency
medical technicians responded to 3800 block of Georgia Avenue, NW for
the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a male suffering
from a gunshot wound to the body.
The victim, who has been
identified as 33-year-old John Odero, of the 400 block of North
Summit Avenue in Gaithersberg, Maryland, was transported to the Washington
Hospital Center's MedSTAR Unit where he was pronounced dead at 1:27
am on Sunday, January 24th.
The case is currently under
investigation by members of the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide
