At approximately 10:50 on the night of Thursday, February 18, 1999, police were called to the 3400 block of 10th Place, SE to investigate the report of gunshots. Upon arrival, they found a unidentified male lying on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body.
The victim, who has been identified as 28-year-old Duwoon Armond McGuire of the 3600 block of 22nd Street, SE, was transported to D.C. General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:22 am.
