At approximately 7:00 am on the morning of Monday, February 22, 1999 members of the Sixth District responded to the 300 block of 57th Street, NE, for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, they found a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds lying in front of that location.

The victim, who has been identified as 18-year-old Donald Telfaire, of the 1100 block of 1st Place, NW, was transported to D.C. General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:47 am.

This case was closed last night by homicide detectives with the apprehension of John Harry Wilson Jr., of the 200 block of 56th Street, NE.

John Harry Wilson will be arraigned sometime today in D.C. Superior Court.
