Double Homicide at 426 Quackenbos Street, NW
Reward of up to $50,000 is offered

At approximately 2:16 am, on Friday, March 24, 2006, Metropolitan Police were called to the front of 426 Quackenbos Street, NW, for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival they located two men seated in a vehicle, each suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.  DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel were called to the scene but found no signs consistent with life. Both men were taken to the DC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and pronounced dead. 

 

One of the victims has been identified as 31-year-old Preston Allen, of the 900 block of Longfellow Street, NW. The name of the second victim is being withheld pending the notification of his next of kin.

 

The case is under investigation by members of the MPDC's Violent Crimes Branch.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

 

The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Therefore, the reward in this double homicide would be up to $50,000.
