Homicide In Front of 728 Girard Street, NW

At approximately 9:53 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2001, Third District officers were called to the 700 block of Girard Street, N.W. for a shooting. Upon arrival they located 22-year-old Aaron Bartlet Hamlin, of the 700 block of Girard Street, N.W., in front of 728 Girard Street, N.W. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body. He was taken to the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office and officially pronounced dead.

The case is currently under investigation by members of the department's Third District . Anyone with information about this case is asked to call detectives at 202/673-6914 or the Crime Solvers Unit at 1-800-673-2777 .

The department currently offers a TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR REWARD to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
