The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating a robbery suspect who robbed the Steak and Egg restaurant located at 1938 9th Street, NW.
On March 11, 2006, a black male entered the Steak and Egg restaurant and subsequently produced a silver colored handgun before demanding money from the cashier. Upon obtaining the money the suspect fled the scene on foot.
The suspect in this case is described as a black male, in his 40's, approximately 5'9" tall with a medium complexion. He was reportedly last seen wearing a green and white colored jacket and blue jeans.
Anyone with information about this suspect or observes him should take no direct action but call police at (202) 727-9099. The department currently offers a reward of up to $5,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a robbery in the District of Columbia.
