At
approximately 1:30 am, on Saturday, April 28, 2001, officers from the
Third Distric t were called
to 2801 15th Street, NW, to investigate the report of an assault. Upon
their arrival inside a third-floor apartment at that location, the officers
discovered an adult Hispanic male lying on the floor. The victim was found
to be suffering from apparent multiple stab wounds. The man was subsequently
transported to D.C. General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:30
am.
The name of the victim is being withheld at this time pending the proper
notification of the next-of-kin.
The case is currently under investigation by detectives of the Third District.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a TEN THOUSAND-DOLLAR
REWARD to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest
and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed
in the District of Columbia.
