Fatal Shooting on 10th Street, NE

At approximately 11:34 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2001, units from the Fifth District responded to the 2600 block of 10th Street, N.E. to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers discovered a male subject lying in front of 2622 10th Street, N.E suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was subsequently transported to the Washington Hospital Center's MedSTAR Unit where he was pronounced dead at 7:00 a.m. The victim in this case has been identified as 27-year-old Johnnie Suber, Jr. of the 2700 block of 10th Street, NE.

The Metropolitan Police Department is presently offering a TEN THOUSAND-DOLLAR REWARD to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the persons or persons responsible for any homicide in the District of Columbia.
