At approximately 8:00 am this morning, a resident, who went outside to discard trash discovered a body in the alley alongside an apartment building located at 4411 First Place, NE. The victim, an unidentified black male was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. He was subsequently transported to the D.C. Medical Examiner’s Office where he was pronounced dead.

At this time the victim remains unidentified pending positive identification.
