At approximately 2:15 am on Saturday, January 29, 2000, officers from the Fourth District were called to the 1500 block of Park Road, NW for the sound of gunshots. Upon their arrival they discovered the body of an unidentified male, believed to be Hispanic, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit and pronounced dead at 2:47 am.
