At approximately 11:10 last night, Sunday, February 20, 2000, Sixth District officers were called to the front of 5911 Dix Street, NE for a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival they discovered the body of 15-year-old Antonio Donta Nicholson, of the 6100 block of Clay Street, NE, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the Medical Examiner's Office and officially pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m. A second man was found with a gunshot wound to the face. He was taken to an area hospital and admitted in critical but stable condition. His name is being withheld because he is a witness in this case.

The case is currently under active investigation by members of the Sixth District.
