On Sunday, July 16, 2006, three street robberies occurred minutes apart within the Metropolitan Police Department's Third District.  The first robbery took place at approximately 10:45 pm, in the rear alley of the 2200 block of 13th Street, NW.  In that incident a lone male was struck in the face by one of two black males who took his wallet containing credit cards.  At approximately 10:50 pm, a man was struck in the face while in the 2200 block of 13th Street, NW, by one of two individuals, and cash was removed from his wallet.  Later that evening, at approximately 11:25 pm, a man was struck in the face by one of two individuals, and his wallet containing cash and an ATM card wastaken.

At approximately 11:48 pm, members working the MPDC's Mobile Force detail, along with Third District officers, stopped two subjects at 13th and Corcoran Streets, NW. Both subjects were subsequently charged in connection with all three robberies.

The two suspects are both 17-year-old male juveniles from the District.  They were charged with three counts of Robbery, Force and Violence.
