On
Saturday, April 22, 2000, at approximately 11:50 p.m., First
District units responded to the Washington Hospital Center's emergency
room for the report of a shooting victim. Upon arrival units located an
unidentified male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim, who has not been identified, reportedly flagged down a cab
at the intersection of North Capitol and K Streets, N.E., and requested
to be taken to a hospital. The victim was transported to the Washington
Hospital Center were he was pronounced dead at 12:24 a.m.
The case is currently under investigation by detectives of the First District.

The Metropolitan Police Department is presently offering a TEN THOUSAND-DOLLAR
REWARD to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest
and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide,
committed in the District of Columbia.
