At
approximately 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2000, a citizen advised Seventh
District officers, that there was a subject lying at the corner of
First and Xenia Streets, SE, suffering from some sort of stomach injury.
Units responded to the area and located 17-year-old Antonio Hopkins
of the 4300 block of 3rd Street, SE, suffering from an apparent stab wound
to the abdomen. DCFD medics were called to render medical assistance.
The victim was transported to Children's Hospital where he was pronounced
dead at 9:11 p.m.
This case is currently under investigation by detectives of the Seventh

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a TEN THOUSAND-DOLLAR
REWARD to anyone who provides information, which leads to an arrest
and conviction of person(s) responsible for any homicide, committed in
the District of Columbia.
