On July 30, 2006, at 1 pm, members of the Fourth District executed a DC Superior Court search warrant at 1017 Taussig Place, NE. As a result, quantities of crack cocaine and marijuana were seized, as well as cash, a handgun and drug paraphernalia. Also, pursuant to the execution of the search warrant, 24-year-old Derek Nathaniel Blandon, of the Taussig Place address, was arrested and charged with violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act, Possession with the Intent to Distribute (PWID) Cocaine, PWID Marijuana, and Carrying a Pistol Without a License (CPWL).  Additional charges are pending. Mr. Blandon is scheduled to be arraigned in court on Monday, July 31, 2006.
