At approximately 4:35 p.m., on Saturday, July 29, 2006, police were called to the 4600 block of Martin Luther King Avenue, SW, for the report of a fight. Upon arrival police located 37-year-old Yolando Williams, of the 100 block of Galveston Street, SW, suffering from an apparent head injury. He was transported to the George Washington University Hospital and admitted in critical condition.

On Sunday, July 30, 2006, Mr. Williams succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Yesterday, July 30, 2006, the above case was closed with the arrest of 36-year-old Lamont Michael Jordan, of the 4600 block of Martin Luther King Avenue, SW. He has been charged with Murder Two.
