Homicide in the 1500 Block of Swann Street, NW

At approximately 11:49 pm, on Wednesday, August 2, 2006, Metropolitan Police were called to a private residence in the 1500 block of Swann Street, NW, for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, police located 32-year-old Robert Wone, of the 10000 block of Gravestone Court in Oakton, Virginia, suffering from apparent multiple stab wounds to the body. He was transported to the George Washington University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

 

The case is under investigation by members of the department's Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

 

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
