At approximately 12:05 am, on Saturday, August 12, 2006, Metropolitan Police were called to the 1400 block of Fairmont Street, NW, to investigate the trouble. Upon arrival, officers located 25-year-old Terran Miller, of the 1400 block of Fairmont Street, NW, suffering from apparent severe head injuries. The preliminary investigation indicates that he was shot at by a person or persons unknown while in the 1400 block of Fairmont Street, NW. While fleeing the gunman, he was struck by a car that failed to stop. He was taken to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit and admitted in critical condition.
At approximately 8:05 am, on Friday, August 18, 2006, Terran Miller was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
