Fatal Shooting On 25th Street, SE

On Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at approximately 1:20 am, police and DCFD emergency medical personnel responded to the 3400 block of 25th Street, SE, for the report of the sound of gunshots.

Upon arrival, they located a male suffering from gunshot wounds lying in front of 3432 25th Street, SE. The victim, who has been identified as 25-year-old Larry Smith, of the 1400 block of Iverson Street, Oxon Hill, Maryland, was transported to Washington Hospital Center where he was pronounced dead at 2:25 am.

The case is currently under investigation by detectives assigned to the Seventh District .

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a $10,000 award to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
