At
approximately 5:20 this morning, police and DCFD
emergency medical personnel responded to the 1400 block of 3rd Street,
NW, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a male suffering
from multiple gunshot wounds slumped over the steering wheel of a Lexus.
The victim, who has been identified as 30-year-old Sterling Davis,
of the 1400 block of 3rd Street, NW, was transported to Howard
University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The case is currently under investigation by detectives assigned to the
department's Third District .
