Police Seek Suspect in Robbery of Northwest Liquor Store

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to locate and identify a lone armed robbery suspect.

At approximately 7:44 pm, on Wednesday, September 27, 2006, a lone male entered  Sherry’s Fine Wines and Spirits, located in the 2300 block of Calvert Street, NW. Once inside, the suspect produced a handgun and obtained an undetermined amount of money before making good his escape. 

The suspect is described as a black male, in his 40s, 5’5” to 6’0” tall, and 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black coat, black hat, sunglasses, and dark colored pants.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
