Arrest Made in August Homicide on Pitts Place, SE

At approximately 6:15 am, on Saturday, August 5, 2006, Metropolitan Police were called to an apartment building located in the 2300 block of Pitts Place, SE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located 27-year-old Harold Taylor, of the 2300 block of Elvans Road, SE, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. He was transported to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit and pronounced dead.

 

Also located was a 22-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. His identity is being withheld because he is considered a witness in this case. 

 

The homicide of Harold Taylor was closed on Monday, October 2, 2006, with the arrest of 23-year-old Antonio Stokes, of the 900 block of 12th Street, NE. He was charged with Murder One While Armed.
