On Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at approximately 3:57 pm, Metropolitan Police and DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the 1900 block of M Street, NE to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as 19-year-old Preston Walker, of the 600 block of 14th Street, NE, was transported to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedSTAR Unit where he was pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
