The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to locate two persons of interest who may possibly assist with the investigation of an armed robbery.
At approximately 10 pm, on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, a group of five to six males approached three individuals walking in the 2500 block of 12th Street, NW. It was at this time that two of the men produced a silver colored handgun and a black colored handgun and robbed the victims of their wallets, credit cards and other assorted items. They made their escape in a vehicle believed to be a Ford Taurus.
A short time later, a credit card belonging to one of the victims was used at a gas station located in the 4900 block of South Dakota Avenue, NE. The two persons of interest were captured on videotape inside the service station around the same time the credit card was used. These individuals may be able to provide information related to the investigation.
The first man is described as a black male with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black skull cap, grey sweatshirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes. The second man is described as a black male with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black and green coat (possibly a North Face), black skull cap, blue jeans, and black shoes.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
