DC’s AG Kicks Off National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Week

To bring attention to teen dating violence, part of AG Spagnoletti's continuing effort to keep kids safe in the District, the AG is hosting two programs at local schools in the District to educate kids, teachers and parents about domestic violence. OAG hosts the following programs in partnership with Break the Cycle and Women Empowered Against Violence (WEAVE) at two local schools the week of February 6 - 10, 2006:

February 7: City Lights Public Charter Schools
62 T Street, NE
Washington, DC 20002
12:45 pm - 2:45 pm

February 9: HD Woodson High School
5500 Eads Street, NE
Washington, DC 20019
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The program will offer kids practical tips on how to prevent violent relationships, and also offers tips on how to recognize the warning signs that a teen is being abused by a boyfriend or girlfriend.
