Letter to Volunteers

Greetings,

Each quarter, the Office of the Clean City Initiative conducts Clean City Ratings to evaluate the cleanliness levels of the city.  To do this, we rely upon volunteer raters, who perform a visual assessment of the streets and alleys to determine the cleanliness levels of the city.  We evaluate the cleanliness levels by visual observation while driving through the area in a van.  Cleanliness levels are evaluated on a scale of 1 to 4.

We would like to invite your participation in the Ratings.  Ideally, we would like to have 6 or more people per day, Tuesday through Thursday of each week until the ratings are completed.  Generally 4 to 6 hours per day.  We meet each day here at the Wilson Building, no later than 8:30a.m., and then go into the field.

We would appreciate any days that you could provide help during the ratings periods.  The support of constituents like you are an important part of this evaluation as it provides an objective, external evaluation of cleanliness levels.

If you would like to participate please contact our office, speaking with Marlene Pheney or Ronald Austin, so that we might provide you the specific dates.

We would very much value your participation in this, and look forward to partnering with you.

Best regards,

Ronald Austin
Clean City Coordinator
