District Launches New Online Procurement Repository
Repository features resources for developing exemplary Statements of Work

(Washington, DC) Oscar S. Rodriguez, Interim Chief Procurement Officer, announced today the launch of the Office of Contracting and Procurement's (OCP) Statement of Work (SOW) Repository, which features examples of "exemplary" SOWs for various goods and services. Mr. Rodriguez said, "This repository is an example of how the DC Government under the new administration of Adrian M. Fenty is promoting the use of best practices throughout DC Government".

The repository will assist District employees in expediting the procurement process and replicating proven best practices by making available previously approved SOWs. The site also provides agency program managers with links to external SOW resources.

"The online repository is a very useful procurement tool that brings together both internal and external examples of successfully written SOWs," said Mr. Rodriguez. "It provides agency program managers with a better understanding of how SOWs are developed outside of the District government."

A variety of SOW samples are featured for services such as city-wide rehabilitation of alleys; pest management programs; temporary support and personnel services; landscaping maintenance and management; and acquisition of halfway house services. The site will also feature SOWs from agencies within the federal government such as the US Department of Agriculture and the Office of the Federal Environmental Executive.
