(Washington, DC) The District of Columbia Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) recently met with 24 procurement delegates from China’s Central Government Procurement Center to discuss procurement regulations and procedures, new procurement initiatives, and best practices.
“By exchanging ideas about public procurement, we help improve our processes and gain a better understanding of global best practices,” said David Gragan, acting Chief Procurement Officer.
The China Central Government Procurement Center is based in Beijing and has procurement field offices in provinces and cities throughout China. The group was welcomed by the Secretary of the District of Columbia, Dr. Stephanie Scott and was presented gifts on behalf of Mayor Fenty.
The meeting was held in the Mayor’s Ceremonial Conference Room.
