(Washington, DC) - On Thursday, March 19, 2009, the District's Chief Procurement Officer, David Gragan, testified before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Mr. Gragan discussed ways in which governments can prevent waste and fraud in the spending of economic stimulus funds and provide transparency to taxpayers for local projects. Mr. Gragan also discussed the readiness of the District's procurement operations to monitor economic stimulus projects.
