With the Unified Communications Center (UCC) in its final phases of construction, several dignitaries and VIPs have been onsite touring the state-of-the-art facility. The project team has embraced its additional role as tour guide in recent months to show a number of stateside officials and international dignitaries the new site.
UCC has enjoyed visits from the Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Ed Reiskin, DC Councilmember Marion Barry, the mayor of San Francisco, and delegates from Turkey, Hong Kong, and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. A large group of national public safety officials attending the annual National Emergency Numbers Association (NENA) convention also visited.
