Following an open competitive procurement, the District of Columbia, Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) has awarded the contract to build the third and final phase of the Unified Communications Center (UCC) to the Jair Lynch/Tompkins Joint Venture (JV), Washington, DC. This joint venture is a certified LSDBE vendor.
The $43 million contract is one of the largest construction contracts ever awarded by the District. The award was made on July 27, 2004 and the Notice to Proceed (NTP) was issued on August 3, 2004.
Previous construction work which included site demolition, site work and site utilities was completed by Clark Construction Group, LLC. The Jair Lynch/Tompkins Joint Venture will be responsible for the remaining construction effort.
