Anwar Mahmood Selected as the ADA Architect

(Washington, DC)  The Office of Disability Rights has selected Anwar Mahmood as the ADA Architect.  In this capacity, Mr. Mahmood will be reviewing and evaluating the physical and architectural accessibility of DC Government facilities and buildings and will be offering policy recommendations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. 

His thirty years of extensive experience and education in architectural, planning, interior, and production have consisted in working in numerous fields, such as healthcare, commercial, housing, religious, educational, and recreational. 

Mr. Mahmood has professional memberships with the Council of Architects and Town Planners (Pakistan) and the New York State Board Registration for Architectural Practice.   The Office of Disability Rights welcomes Mr. Mahmood and he can be contacted via email at anwar.mahmood@dc.gov.
