(Washington, DC) - DSLBD, the DC Bar Pro Bono Program, and the DC Small Business Development Center Network will host an eight-part, free course geared to existing small business owners, especially those who work on building projects, including suppliers, trade contractors, construction companies, and other suppliers who provide services to construction sites.+ This course is designed for sole proprietors, business partnerships, and general managers and owners of LLC’s. It will provide business owners with valuable information about how to organize your business so that you meet certain legal requirements and protect your assets. You will come away from the course understanding the basics of employment law, insurance, contracts (especially government contracts), and joint ventures.

Classes will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesdays at the DC – Citywide Conference Center at 441 4th Street, NW in Judiciary Square. The first class is on September 24 and addresses the topic, “How to Set up Your Business.”
